Florham Park, NJ – Farah N. Ansari, Co-Chair of the Nonprofit Practice Group and a member of the Tax Planning Practice Group at Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP was recently recognized as one of the 2024 Leading Women in Business honorees in the Traditional category. This program recognizes women who have made a significant impact on business in New Jersey.

After a rigorous nomination process, a panel of independent judges selected this year’s honorees using a points system to evaluate submissions. These recipients have made a significant impact on business in New Jersey as well as in their communities.
The award ceremony will take place Oct. 15 from 6-9 p.m. at The Palace at Somerset Park, NJ. Tickets are available for purchase on the NJBIZ events page.

Ansari acts as outside legal counsel to nonprofit organizations. She has extensive expertise working with charities, foundations, schools, hospitals, religious institutions and other tax-exempt organizations in New York and New Jersey. Counseling on matters pertaining to the establishment of private foundations and public charities, governance, contract negotiation and tax-exemption compliance are a part of Farah’s profession.

Farah is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and the American Bar Foundation. She chairs the Tax-Exempt Organizations Committee of the Taxation Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and served as Chair of the Taxation Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association in the past. She is a member of the Community Foundation of New Jersey’s Legal, Wealth & Tax Advisory Committee.

Farah is also a member of the New York City Bar’s Non-Profit Organizations Committee and the Government Relations Council of Nonprofit New York. She serves on the boards of the Jersey Battered Women’s Service (JBWS) and Women@NJPAC. She belongs to the TEGE Exempt Organizations Council, as well. Farah gives regular talks on subjects pertaining to nonprofits and taxes.
